Hey guys,
I bid you a fond farewell as I leave Hyderabad and fly out to United States in the interest of advancing my career and for having more fun :) . Before September 09 i found hyderabad a dry\dull place within nothing to do and no fun people. I was a member of this group since March but was very cautious and wary of ever joining a trip with random individuals(just like 1100 out of the 1200 members of GHAC). Out of sheer boredom one day i decided to finally join GHAC people on a very impromptu trek to Ananthgiri hills. There i met some of the most fun people i have known in hyderabad, few of which went on become great friends of mine. I also was suddenly in a social group of people ranging from microbiologists, journalits, kayaking experts, poker enthusiasts, rich senior people who define their worklife as "i have a couple of businesses", people with an ambition to mix trekking and management training, typical gujjus and
some with mundane jobs as software engineering at google( aaah i am gonna get a lot of love for the above statement :p). Thereafter i frequented on treks with you all and met more and more people, visited more places, had more fun, discovered more of life and stretched my own limits.
I would dearly miss the energy and enthusiasm of such a group full of people with very friendly attitudes. No amount of accolades is enough to appreciate the tremendous work that the core committee does in organizing and maintaining an adventure packed, fun driven, civil, eco-friendly system running 4 weekends a month.
I promise you that i would join the Seattle adventure group :) and visit all the national forests and snowy slopes and try out everything from snow boarding to surfing. I am a big fan of this group and would definitely meet up when i come back to hyd.
Have fun, keep rockin \m/
