Laknavaram cheruvu which is spread over an area of 10000 acres and stores rain water. This lake has 13 islands which are scattered amidst the lush green jungles and make the place blissfully serene. The tourist department has constructed a hanging bridge connecting the 3 islands recently. This has turned the place into a major tourist destination in this area. The government has a lot of ambitious plans to convert this into a full scale tourist destination.

Ramappa Lake was set up again during Kakatiya rule, serves the purpose of providing water to thousands of hectares of land around that place. Another good thing about the lake is: all the tanks around that place have a means of moving excess waters in to Ramappa lake. There is a lot more to write about these two places and the other temples between these two.

Itinerary:

Change in Itinerary, we'll be taking private mini-bus from hyderabad directly.
Meeting point is Mehdipatnam Ring Road junction at 6:30 am.

. Trek / Hitchhike / shared transport to Laknavaram
. Local trekking, swimming
. Lunch
. Boat ride /chill out under some shade/ cards
. Visit Ramappa lake and temple
. Start back around 5 and return to hyd around 10 pm.

Estimated Cost:
500 Rs.

Payment will be collected on the spot.

Mere RSVP is not enough to join the trip, Please call Kranthi on [masked] to confirm your participation.

People who drop out at the last minute or do a no show will invite penalty and a ban on their further participation.

. Cell phone (fully charged)
. Lunch Box
. Mat / Bed sheet
. Change of clothes, swimming trunks
. Torch
. Snacks, dry fruits, energy drinks/ glucon D
. 2 Ltr water
. Umbrella / Raincoat
. Camera
. Emergency contacts
. Your billion dollar smiles :)

Important Instructions:
1) no smoking and no alcohol
2) No littering, no pollution of water
3) This is not a luxury trip, but all care has been taken to make your trip comfortable
4) We carry Basic First Aid and if you need anything you can ask the organizers
5) if you feel unwell bring to the notice of the organizers immediately.
6) If you cant swim don't go deep into the water
All GHAC rules apply.

The location was truly beautiful and looks likes some Iceland's in Andaman Iceland's never seen such a big lake with so much water and a nice suspension bridge the rain made the scenery in the evening at the lake very picturesque and as always the group was very fun playing Antakshari and singing songs with Venkee as RJ was lot of fun he manged to make every one sing in the group and thanks Karanthi and his family for the lunch and adding a great new location to the GHAC. ”

Weather added its own charm and the entire time became fabulous when it started raining bringing all the jovial souls together to have lots of merry time. I must say the group was lovely and I totally cherished meeting and spending time with everyone. What a fabulous club GHAC is that even when people meet for the first time, there is never a feeling like that but makes you feel like you know one and all from ages. Everyone were very sportive and enjoyed playing games, singing, joking with one another and mostly creating memories to last a lifetime. Thank You GHAC for yet another remarkable event!
