Dear Trekkers,
After so many successful treks the GHAC is ready with another exciting trek and white water rafting in DANDELI. The journey start on 13th November'09 at 5.30am in 4cars only 16trekkers can make it though we kept the RSVP open for 25people, whoever pay the charges first will be in rest will be in waiting list and if there is any drop outs then we will allow the trekkers of waiting list who has already paid for the trek.

The charges includes to & fro transportation food and trekking in dandeli, water rafting charges is not included will be charged(Approximately Rs1200/-) separetely at the spot in dandeli. Night stay is in a open place so please carry your sleeping bags.

DANDELI:There is a strong belief that the city is named as "Dandeli" after Dandelappa, a loyal servant of the Mirashi landlords who lost his life because of his loyalty. Even today, people worship him in temple.
Dandeli is a natural habitat for wildlife. Safaris in open jeeps into the Dandeli wildlife sanctuary accompanied by trained naturalists are the best way to view wildlife here.

Dandeli is home to big cats such as tigers, leopards, and even black panthers, elephants, gaur, deer, antelopes, many kinds of reptiles and a rich variety of birds. It is also a perfect place for white water rafting. Of late, it has become a hot tourist spot and attracts many local and foreign tourists all the year around.

An adventure trek into the dense forest with expert guides you can follow trails, which leads all the way up to the peaks of nearby hills. The views from atop the hill are astounding with the panoramic view of backwaters of Supa Dam, misty mountains and greenery spread out for miles.Kali river is known for white water rafting. You can hire the services of professionals rafters and do rafting for around 3 hours. There are various packages available.
