For all those who thought these daily treks are not enough, here's a big one for you. We will be going to Dodital lake (10,500), Darwa Pass(12,600) and, Darwa Top (13,500 ft) in Gharwal District of Uttarakhand. Gharwal in Uttarakhand is the most beautiful place of all High Asia. Mountains & Valleys, forests & landscapes, birds & animals, butterflies & flowers, Ganga & Yamuna all combine to make a sum delight unsurpassable elsewhere.

We intend to take a picturesque route filled with coniferous forests, beautiful flowering meadows, the pristine Dodital Lake filled with colorful trout fish and a low snowline reaching up to Darwa Pass. The Darwa Pass in the by gone days enabled people to cross over from Bhagirathi Valley to Yamunotri Valley for trade, mariages & for offering prayers at yamunotri temple. Shepherds till today graze their sheep & cattle in its lush green meadows. The Darwa pass itself gives us a panaromic view of the majestic Banderpunch Range, capped with lofty snowy peaks.

We welcome all outdoor enthusiasts of all abilities and experience levels. Though Physical fitness is important there is something more important than that - The will to conquer the mountain. You should be both mentally and physically prepared for the trek.

While everyone is welcome, this trek may not be for everybody, If you don't like climbing hills on foot, or if you are not ready to push yourself a little bit more or If you don't like laughing, sweating, pushing yourself, getting dirty, hanging out in the wilderness with the Nature and/or experiencing levels of exhaustion at the end of an outing then this trek might not be for you.

The Trek is moderate to difficult and requires good health and physical fitness, there is a need to carry out 5 km of jogging-cum-long brisk walk as well as stretching exercise for 2 to 3 weeks before the trek so that you have a pleasurable experience.

Equipment & Clothing required (should be very light: the more you bring the more you will carry on your shoulders!):

I understand your concern Chaya. But we thought lets wait, see the response and then see if we need to increase the number of participants.

@Vibha and Ali: Thanks for the wishes! @Sandeep: Sorry bro. I want the list of people who are really interested to go so that i can book train tickets and make other arrangements. Thus didnt keep the "may be" option. @Chaya: I also wanted to keep it in sept. But it would have been too short notice, and would have been difficult to get train reservations... @Nagesh: Thanks for joining. Will mail you the details soon
