Dear fellow trekkers,

For all those who felt unlucky that they are still in the waiting list for Masinagudi-2, or those who have already attended Masinagudi-1 and were wondering what to do for the Gandhi Jayanti weekend – here is another exciting and adventurous (really adventurous) trek. Yipeee yey…. We plan to spend three days trekking in Eastern Ghats around Sheshachalam. The Seshachalam Hills are hilly ranges part of the Eastern Ghats in southern Andhra Pradesh state. The hills were formed during the Precambrian era (3.8 billion to 540 million years ago). This area is very green and beautiful with streams and waterfalls, particularly after rains, so pack up your bags, put on your shoes and lets go…( Of course you need to RSVP and do a couple of formalities as per our group regulations). For those who are feeling excited about this, please read further…..

To begin with, let me inform you that this is not a luxury trek, so don't expect any. We are going to stay in a
jungle where there is no electricity, no television, no internet, mobiles may not work. It is of moderate intensity (for those not routinely going on treks read difficult). You might need to prepare for this trek by improving your physical fitness. You are expected to walk about 8-10 kms everyday in the hilly terrain { though not climbing uphill holding grass tufts as in masinagudi :) }. You also need to carry a backpack with your belongings for 3 days. So, try and restrict your bag size to the minimum {Girls.... I hope you have heard this :) }. On the way you will have the opportunity to witness some of the rare paintings and caves where ancient men dwelt in the pre-historic age. You would be visiting the following places - ARIMANU BANDALU, YERRAMAREDDY MADUGU, SEDANEDU, MUNESWARA KONA. We are taking the help of a professional adventure organiser in Tirupati for trek routes, guidance, food and accommodation arrangements.

Here are some links you might want to go through -

this is a you tube video (with a professional touch) by one of the fellow trekkers when we trekked Seshachalam earlier this year.

I have a couple of pictures that I am not able to attach here and would send them separately.

Friends, It would be nice if you can resize all your pics before sharing them. I guess 1024x768 should be sufficient. Here's a tutorial to resize all your images in one shot. http://www.ofzenandcomputin...

    •  Helloo everyone, I'm glad to let you kno dat the trip with you all was OOOutstanding. . . . The group was amazinGGG! lush Greenery, water plays, campinG, sleepinG and spottinG animals are really memorable things for me. The energy was HIGH, We had fuN, we jokeD around and especially the song(Token of memory). It was pleasant to see so much oneness and attachment in the G+R+O+U+P And the sense of being in nature is with my trekker’s TEAM ;) Thanks to Ali & Vibha for their unstinted support . . . . and special thanks to ppl who bared me. . . .lol
    •  Living in the wild, carrying your own weight, star gazing and bon fires at night, enthusiastic people, lots of fun... This is what sums up the Arimanu Bandalu trek...
    •  Never been with such a lovely group. Though I done a lot of trekking with various groups, It is the first time I'm finding such a wonderful group who placed the group's intgerest above individual interest. Though the place would have been great if it had rained, still enjoyed the scenic beauty.

The group rocked! It was an amazing combination of nature lovers, professionals, trekkers and fun lovers belonging to a wide range of age group (11 - 53) and one thing in common - the sky high enthusiasm! Even though most of us met each other for the first time, we all clicked perfectly ( no wonder there are loads of pictures). The three days spent in wilderness, peaceful environment (other than all the noise we made) lush greenery, water games, camping (singing songs), sleeping in (and around) the tents and spotting animals(?) are a few of the memorable things. The energy and enthusiasm continued all through out! We have a song written on this trek and also a theme song for GHAC! It was overwhelming to see so much love and a feeling of togetherness amongst the group. Thank you one and all! Just can't stop at this - so to be continued at TDS on sunday.....
    •  First of all, cheers to all for a wonderful trip with special thanks to the organizers Ali and vibha for all the planning and arrangements for the trip. Also thanks to Ranjan sir for his wonderful santa banta jokes.............hoping to do more treks with the group in future.

unforgettable 4 nights 3 days....with superb adventurers...had loads of fun trekking with backpacks, playing games, singing, taking snaps, climbing anywhere posssible, waterfall showers and so many unforgettable things that we did...will always cherish this moments
    •  Its grt8 trek. we enjoyed a lot.
    •  It was an experience of a lifetime!! We trekked the length of the forest, into hilltops and plains and river valleys, through thorns, bushes and boulders, with huge back-packs on our shoulders. Our first breakfast was in an ancient British bunglow, our lunch was on the mouth of a huge dry waterfall, our dinner was on the banks of a river-bed that flows through the heart of the forest. The first night was spent talking and singing near the Camp Fire. The next day included open-air pooing (No Running Water, use Paper tissues!), more trekking where we witnessed ancient caves with pre-historic paintings. We camped near yet another beautiful waterfall and all of us had a great time in the water, where we swam and played water-ball. Our dinner was under the lights of the Full Moon. At midnight, the cold silence of the forest is terrifying. On day 3, we decided to try our hand at Rock Climbing, and up we all went on a steep mountain, followed by natural pedicure by fishes in a pond.
    •  IT WAS ALL THE WAY ON THE ROCKS..... TANTADAN ...TRULY OUT OF THE WORLD EXPERIENCE. WE MUST ENVY OUR ANCESTORS WHO LIVED IN THE JUNGLES WITH PURITY ALL AROUND . EVEN WE THE CITY ANIMALS LIVED TOGETHER SO WELL BECAUSE WE HAD NOTHING TO COMPETE FOR BUT EVERY THING TO SHARE. AND THE SHARING WAS ALL FUN AND ONLY FUN. KUDOS TO THE ORGANIZERS AND TO THE GOD TO WHO MADE US ALL COME BACK SAFELY AND HAPPILY.
    •  THE BEST trek of my life. Arimanu Bandalu is a treasure trove of natural beauty with waterfalls, caves and amazing views from the top. Some were new faces and some were known but everyone clicked instantly. Thanks to Vibha, Ali, Balu and all for making us enjoy every moment of it.
