GHAC is all set to go 5500 meters above the sea level again for the 3rd time to Everest Base Camp from 09 May to 22th May 2010. The Everest Base Camp trek - Nepal is arguably the most famous trekking route in the world and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see some of the most breathtaking scenery imaginable and should really be in the top 10 of things to do in life.

The schedule is:
- 8th May 2010 - Arrival in Kathmandu - Airport Pickup and Transfer to Hotel
Both EBC and EBC+Gokyo parties will start the trek together till Everest Base Camp and those going to Gokypo Ri will take a diversion midway on the way back.
Trek Starts
Day 01 - 09 May Kathmandu to Lukla (2800m,30 minutes scenic flight) and trek to Phadking (2700m)
Day 02 - 10 May Phadking to Namche Bazaar (3420m)
Day 03 - 11 May Acclimatization in Namche Bazaar (3420m).
Day 04 - 12 May Namche to Tengboche (3850m)
Day 05 - 13 May Tengboche to Pheriche (4240m). /Dingboche (4350m)
Day 06 - 14 May Acclimatization in Pheriche/Dingboche
Day 07 - 15 May Pheriche/Dingboche to Lobuche (4930m)
Day 08 - 16 May Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5160m)
Day 09 - 17 May Kalapattar and Everest Base Camp (5350m)
Day 10 - 18 May Trek back to Pheriche.
Day 11 - 19 May Trek to Namche
Day 12 - 20 May Trek to Lukla
Day 13 - 21 May Fly to Kathmandu - in Hotel
Day 14 - 22 May Fly to Delhi/Hyderabad

TREK HIGHLIGHTS - 13 Days Trek from Lukla to Everest Base Camp
Scenic flight to Lukla; Sherpa home town; Monasteries; amazing view of mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam, Thamserku, Views of Khumbu Ice - Fall, Sherpa's village, Tengboche Monastery, Everest Base Camp, Kalapathar.

from Lukla to EBC to Lukla- 120 KM
Damages:
EBC only : Rs 33000
The fee includes, Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and back, guide fee, porter fee, 3 times food & tea-house/hotel rents starting from Kathmandu to Base camp and back. First Aid, and other essential items.
Cost Excludes:
Travel cost to Kathmandu and departure from Kathmandu
Food while staying in Kathmandu City
Travel Insurance (this is a mandatory) US $ 20
Helicopter Rescue + Medical Insurance US $50 (optional)
Rental for warm wear and trekking shoes/equipment if not carrying one US $ 15-20
We welcome all outdoor enthusiasts of all abilities and experience levels. you should be willing to make a commitment to push yourself to meet or exceed what you have accomplished outdoors before, and this includes attaining proper fitness and practice before the actual trek
While everyone is welcome, this trek may not be for everybody, If you don't like climbing hills on foot, or if you are not ready to push yourself a little bit more or If you don't like laughing, sweating, pushing yourself, getting dirty, hanging out in the wilderness with the Nature and/or experiencing levels of exhaustion at the end of an outing then this trek might not be for you.
The Trek is moderate to difficult and requires good health and physical fitness, Age limit is between 18 - 50 years, There is a need to practice & prepare at least 60 days in advance, some of us have already started preparing, the rest can join us either morning or evening or do their own practice
